General Information
HFI 90 a low cost insulation option offering very good electrical properties (a dielectric constant of 2.3) with an LS0H construction. The material also has a high insulation resistance, low dielectric loss and very good abrasion resistance.

HFI 90 is commonly used for data cables and as the dielectric of coaxial cables, and as such there is no 'standard range' of cables with this insulation.

The material can also be cross-linked in order to improve the temperature rating and to enhance some of the mechanical properties such as resistance to environmental stress cracking, cut-through, ozone, solvents and soldering.

The electrical properties are essentially unchanged after cross-linking. The chemical properties are enhanced as regards oil resistance at elevated temperatures.
