Speedflex
Speedflex is a range of 50 ohm & 75 ohm low smoke zero halogen (lszh) coaxial cables, developed to meet the increased demands of the telecommunications industry where a higher electrical performance is required, together with halogen free and flame retardant materials (lszh).
Designed for applications upto 2.5GHz Speedflex cables incorporate both low-foamed and high-foamed polyethylene dielectrics with highly flame retardant, low smoke zero halogen (lszh) jackets.
To give the best possible performance, the dielectric constant of the cable should be as low as possible. Low-foamed dielectrics achieve the same dielectric constant as PTFE (the best solid plastic material) resulting in coaxial cables that have the same dimensions and electrical performance as their RG Style counterparts however provide a low smoke zero halogen (lszh) alternative.
High-foamed dielectrics take this principle and develop it further, offering an improved electrical performance whilst still providing a low smoke zero halogen (lszh) cable.
As well as the standard Speedflex range, custom variations are available to provide a suitable low smoke zero halogen (lszh) coaxial cable for individual applications.
